Buy Psilocybe Baeocystis
The name “Psilocybe baeocystis” refers to the fungus’ distinctive rippled cap, and the word “baeo-cystis” means “small-bladder,” which describes how the fungus looks when it’s fresh. The terms “bottle caps,” “knobby tops,” “blue bells,” or “olive caps” are more frequently used to refer to the various cap characteristics. When handled or aged, the cap easily stains from a chestnut-brown to an olive-green to a vivid dark blue in addition to the wavy ripples.
One peculiarity of this species is that its potency is significantly higher when it is fresh, and typically decreases by at least half when dried. The very high concentrations of baeocystin, a psychoactive psilocybin precursor, may be to blame for this.
