Strains

PES Amazonian – The Amazon basin is the location of this strain’s discovery. One of the strains that grows the fastest and yields the most mushrooms—many of which grow to a height of 30 cm—is this one. Very reliable in vitro (in the bag) and on BRF (brown rice flour and vermiculite: PF TEK). Furthermore, grains and pasteurized or sterilized substrates (such as compost and straw) are good for growing fruit. This strain is among those suggested for novice growers.

Chitwan National Park in Nepal is home to this strain, which grows medium-sized fruits. It was discovered there at the base of the Himalayas.

One of the most well-liked strains in our selection, Golden Teacher is unquestionably a classic. Erupts in large flushes but is slightly slower to colonize and fruit than others. Fruits that range in size from medium to large and have gorgeous golden colored caps. There may be a lot of later flushes. Regarded as a powerful strain that adapts to a wide range of substrates.

B – This strain expands aggressively over a wide range of substrates and temperatures, even down to 15 degrees Celsius. B has the capacity to produce enormous mushrooms, easily reaching heights of one foot (30 cm) or higher, when grown on nutrient-rich substrates like cased grains, compost, and straw.

Thai – This Thai strain is excellent for beginners. It fruits very easily and colonizes at an average pace. The mushrooms are produced in large quantities all at once, and they have the potential to grow quite large.

Treasure Coast is the name given to the eastern coast of the U.S. State of Florida. S. A) the location of the discovery of this mushroom. Quick to settle and very understanding, Treasure Coast is. Prior to its first fruiting cycle, it is frequently an aggressive colonizer of casing (peat and coco) and encloses everything available with a dense mycelium. Compared to the Amazonian strain, this variety typically yields more mushrooms overall and per flush, but it does so over a longer period of time. In actuality, there isn’t much of a gap between each flush when this strain is in use. Also known to occasionally produce albinos. In vitro fruiting (in the bag) above average. Additionally, BRF, grain, as well as pasteurized or sterilized substrates (i. Straw, compost, etc. ). Is an outdoor enthusiast.

This is “the” tampanensis strain, Tampanensis “Pollock”. It is conceivably the rarest mushroom currently known to man, with all strains deriving from a single specimen discovered by the late Dr. Steven Pollock in the Tampa, Florida, area. However, no culturable material was found despite a second sighting being credibly reported from Mississippi. A wide range of grains, especially the traditional rye grass seed and rice substrates, produce excellent sclerotia. Capable of producing dense flushes of potent mushrooms on spawned substrates and cased grains.

The original BRF (brown rice flour and vermiculite, or the renowned PF TEK) is preferred by the Fanaticus strain of Psilocybe. It produces fruit quickly. In actuality, pinning starts as soon as colonization is complete. Furthermore, the intervals between flushes are incredibly short. To prevent early pinning before the start of fruiting, it is advised that this strain’s spawn or substrate be incubated in a dark environment or under the use of a lightbulb with a strong red spectrum. These mushrooms are thin but very short thanks to this strain.
